Those games ended often as a draw: indeed the starting player gets a decisive advantage on the other player, who has little to no chances of victory; thus he can only try to hamper his opponent and prevent him from harvesting the expected success. I don’t like Tic Tac Toe and perhaps I never liked it: my rating isn’t lower just because I still have fond memories of those smuggled plays in the classroom. |
