A page for my personal benefit, tracking new cards for my decks. I'll include links to my decks as well for those who are interested.
Description | Moxfield | Report | Description |
Chris Rahn - Tazri, Beacon of Unity | Moxfield | Chris Rahn - Tazri, Beacon of Unity (Boros) Updated | Not the weakest of artist decks; there are a whole lot of swords, and some big beaters to wield them. Not to mention Blightsteel Colossus. |
Hello Daarkeness My Old Friend | Moxfield | Daarken - Gonti, Lord of Luxury (Black) Updated | There are a few good cards here - and a few choices for commander - but far too much discard to fly under the radar! |
Donato Giancola - Lagrella, the Magpie | Moxfield | Donato Giancola - Lagrella, the Magpie (Bant) | Donato Giancola is a true classical artist. What he's doing illustrating magic cards, I don't know... but I'm glad! The deck is weak but Donato is still illustrating the occasional card. |
Edward P. Beard, Jr. - Palladia-Mors | Moxfield | Edward P. Beard, Jr. - Palladia-Mors (Naya) | Real oldschool EDH! |
Greg Staples - Sophina, Spearsage Deserter | Moxfield | Greg Staples - Sophina, Spearsage Deserter (Boros) | TODO |
Heather Hudson - Merieke Ri Berit | Moxfield | Heather Hudson - Merieke Ri Berit (Esper) | Quirky art, and a couple of standout cards - but not, objectively a good deck. |
Jesper Ejsing - Koma, Cosmos Serpent | Moxfield | Jesper Ejsing - Koma, Cosmos Serpent (Simic) Updated | Jesper Ejsing has illustrated some amazing cards over the years, and is still going. This deck can maybe keep up with a low-powered table. |
Johannes Voss - Esika, God of the Tree // The Prismatic Bridge | Moxfield | Johannes Voss - Esika, God of the Tree // The Prismatic Bridge (5 colour) Updated | Another deck that can play with normal decks; if you can get a few shrines on the table, you're off! |
John Avon - Progenitus | Moxfield | John Avon - Progenitus (5 colour) | The one thing that you don't have to worry about here is the manabase! |
Justyna and Piotr Dura - The Fourteenth Doctor | Moxfield | Justyna and Piotr Dura - The Fourteenth Doctor (Ink) Updated | Piotr Dura illustrates a lot of lands, supporting Justyna (formerly Gill) - she is a master of light and usually illustrates a couple of high-profile cards each set. Both are still active, so this deck will only get stronger. |
Karl Kopinski - Krenko, Mob Boss | Moxfield | Karl Kopinski - Krenko, Mob Boss | One of the few UK artists, he still illustrates the occasional piece... at the moment the deck is light on cards but I have hope... and even a bad Krenko deck is still a Krenko deck! |
Kev Walker - Atraxa, Praetors' Voice | Moxfield | Kev Walker - Atraxa, Praetors' Voice (Witch) | There's actually some synergy here. |
Lucas Graciano - Grenzo, Dungeon Warden | Moxfield | Lucas Graciano - Grenzo, Dungeon Warden (Rakdos) Updated | Lucas Graciano hasn't really illustrated enough cards to make a full commander deck, but Shadowborn Apostle fills the gaps and synergises with Grenzo a little. There are even some demons! |
Magali Villeneuve - Shanna, Purifying Blade | Moxfield | Magali Villeneuve - Shanna, Purifying Blade (Bant) Updated | Magali Villeneuve illustrated my favourite land cycle of all time. She also illustrates a lot of legendary creatures, so lots of options for deckbuilding. |
Mark Poole - Lady Evangela | Moxfield | Mark Poole - Lady Evangela (Esper) | This deck illustrates power creep like nothing else. Sadly, very weak by modern standards. |
Mark Tedin - The Mimeoplasm | Moxfield | Mark Tedin - The Mimeoplasm (Sultai) | A little bit of everything. |
Nils Hamm and fiends | Moxfield | Seb McKinnon+Drew Tucker+Nils Hamm - The Gitrog Monster (Golgari) | The weakest Gitrog Monster deck you'll ever see, but the coolest art! |
Pete Venters - Sengir, the Dark Baron | Moxfield | Pete Venters - Sengir, the Dark Baron (Black)
Rebecca Guay - Asmira, Holy Avenger | Moxfield | Rebecca Guay - Asmira, Holy Avenger (Selesnya) | Iconic art, belongs in a gallery more than on a card. |
rk post | Moxfield | rk post - Kaervek the Merciless (Rakdos) | Again, heavy on the hand destruction and a spiky commander, so probably not going to fluy under the radio. Not much synergy. |
Rob Alexander - Rubinia Soulsinger | Moxfield | Rob Alexander - Rubinia Soulsinger (Bant) | Most of the cards are older and no longer relevant; but the landbase is a thing of beauty. |
Seb McKinnon - Aminatou, the Fateshifter | Moxfield | Seb McKinnon - Aminatou, the Fateshifter (Esper) | Otherworldly, slightly sinister art with the precision and detail of a master. |
Wayne Reynolds - Tariel, Reckoner of Souls | Moxfield | Wayne Reynolds - Tariel, Reckoner of Souls Updated | Actually a Rakdos deck, with Tariel mostly a figurehead. |
Yeong-Hao Han - Etali, Primal Conqueror | Moxfield | Yeong-Hao Han - Etali, Primal Conqueror (Gruul) | An up and coming, versatile artist. This commander deck has just become viable. |
Zoltan Boros+Gabor Szikszai - Firesong and Sunspeaker | Work in progress | Zoltan Boros+Gabor Szikszai - Firesong and Sunspeaker (Boros) Updated
